I an currently working on a 40 Ford Convert that I usede the frame  suspension and running gear from the 39 Wagon Rod. With modifications it is working out great. I am thinking about doing another Resto Mod build on a 40 Forde pickup. Is there any other kits that would have a suitable frame, suspension and running gear for these conversions ?

Would love to use a Coyote motor but I don't think there is anything available.

Thanks

Jon

Lindberg '37 Ford is a great 1:24 custom chassis. A Coyote is available either from 3D/resin vendors or maybe the '13 Boss 302 kit?

The chassis from the Revell '41 Willys pro street may be an option. I always wanted to stick one under a '40 Ford coupe. It may need the wheelbase modified for the pickup.

I think I remember @tim boydonce writing in an article or posting online somewhere about the AMT Ford Courier frame and running gear being a good basis for modernizing a 40 Ford...but my memory is a little vague.

Tim to the courtesy phone please!

Nothing to do with a 40 Ford, but a Chevy S10/T10 frame and suspension used to be a fairly popular swap under 30s-40s GM trucks in the 1:1 world. Lots of aftermarket support, and a SBC fits nicely.

Hi Jon!

Definetely the Boyd Coddington chassis that comes with the Lindberg's 37 Ford coupe / Vantasic / Coupester kit variations, followed by  Revell's 41 Willys coupe in street-rod or Pro-Street variation (NOT the gasser).  Both are easy to modify if needed.
