drodg Posted September 2, 2021 Posted September 2, 2021 So I am posting a picture of my rebuild of a 1965 Coronet 500 kit. This is the original kit not the Polar Lights. I am kind of replicating my 1:1 car though my 1:1 car is a 383 and the kit comes with a race Hemi. I painted it PP1 red from Scalefinishes, base coat. I have cleared and have started the polishing process. These old solid axle kits I just love. Anyhow hope to be done in the next week. Thanks for looking

Zippi Posted September 2, 2021 Posted September 2, 2021 That's a good looking Coronet. The detail work on the dash looks great.

espo Posted September 2, 2021 Posted September 2, 2021 Always fun to build a model of something you own or have owned in the past. Great flood of memories.

TooOld Posted September 3, 2021 Posted September 3, 2021 These original kits just have a cool factor missing in the new ones , great to see another one going together !
Scale-Master Posted September 3, 2021 Posted September 3, 2021 I had a '65 with a 383 too, back in the early 80's. Not the most attractive car, but it did it's job and was a bit of sleeper even being bone stock. I used the Polar Lights kit since the real one was pretty rough around the edges too. I 'm sure yours will look better than mine.
