Intmd8r Posted October 8, 2021 Posted October 8, 2021 My latest completion form the Hasegawa kit. Box says the scale is 1/24, but it feels more like 1/26. I instantly envisioned a shop truck when I saw the kit and every shop truck needs patina. Other than the Datsun decals, everything is kit stock. Paint is combination of various Vallejo and dollar store craft paint. Also my first attempt at using weathering pigments. Realized afterwards I installed the chin spoiler backwards, but I like it better the way it ended up. 1
espo Posted October 8, 2021 Posted October 8, 2021 Great looking little pickup. I like the effect you used on the red paint to give it the faded look on the body edges. Nice dirty looking windshield. From the little I know of the home market I don't think they would allow something like this to be on the streets, but then I may b e wrong on that. Either way the finish is very realistic looking.
mchook Posted October 8, 2021 Posted October 8, 2021 Cool little truck. Your weathering looks nice too, great job!
Mattilacken Posted October 8, 2021 Posted October 8, 2021 Cool build! The weathering looks just right!
Zippi Posted October 8, 2021 Posted October 8, 2021 Like others have said, the weathering looks great. Nice little parts getter.
Intmd8r Posted October 12, 2021 Author Posted October 12, 2021 Thanks everyone for the positive feedback. @David - Japan has some tough inspection laws. Believe the vehicle would be allowed to be listened as long as it meets the mechanical requirements. Regardless, it was a fun, fictional build.
