JollySipper Posted October 24, 2021 Posted October 24, 2021 I worked pretty steady on this the past couple of days and managed to finish up with it..... This is a nice kit, although a bit fiddly in places. I painted the body with DupliColor bronze wheel coating and cleared it with their 1K clear. I wanted a kinda neo-traditional hot rod, so I chose colors that I thought would bring it up to current times and trends..... There's a WIP in the proper section, thank you to those that followed the build up..... Anyways, that's it for this one! Thanks for looking and comment freely......
Zippi Posted October 24, 2021 Posted October 24, 2021 Turned out really nice TJ. The color is pretty slick.
espo Posted October 24, 2021 Posted October 24, 2021 Beautiful looking finish on the paint and the color gives it a special look. You got the stance nailed on this and the steel wheels with trim rings and the hob cap still looks good. Very clean looking finsh.
bisc63 Posted October 24, 2021 Posted October 24, 2021 Very tastefully done. Surprising non-red hot rod that just works! Well done.
happy grumpy Posted October 24, 2021 Posted October 24, 2021 Beautiful finish, it gives your model a subdue yet distinct look. Very well done.
JollySipper Posted October 24, 2021 Author Posted October 24, 2021 Cool! I'm glad you guys are enjoying it.....
JollySipper Posted October 25, 2021 Author Posted October 25, 2021 Thanks, Fellas! I just wish I had a better camera....... This looks a little better in person. About the license plate on the front.... There's an ejector tab on the very delicate headlight bar. I didn't want to risk breaking the bar, so I just left the tab and attached the plate to it......

Check your cell phone camera setting, and see if you have a preset option call "portrait". If so, give that a shot, especially outdoors. It gives a really nice result.
