Build from the lil red express kit , this was before the re-issued long box kit . The resin box comes from scale FX, the frame and drive train comes from the Ramcharger kit from monogram. Being 1/24 scale it gives the truck a beefier look . I gave it the rust treatment from all that off-roading. I wish round 2  would re-issued the 4x4 version.

thanks for looking

That's one tuff looking Dodge.  Nice weathering.  You turn out some nice looking models Mario.  I may have missed them but do you build any Hot Rods or Drag cars?

Thanks Bob,

Of all the models I build over the years, I must confess that I never build one hot rod. I'm not really into it but I sure do appreciate the work people do on them. I will eventually build a funny car, funny cars in 70's and 80's are what I'd be interested in . I just have so many projects. I also build a few rally cars but just as a change of pace from my main interests.

You sure turn out some great builds, Mario! The work you do is top notch. This Dodge is a textbook example of 'How To Do' weathering on a model.

I remember how those well worked and used Dodge trucks rusted and kept going. Fantastic weathered model . Weathering is great. I enjoy see your models, please keep posting them..

Looks great! I like the weathering! I like how you dealt with the panel under the grill, making it a different color as if it was a replacement from an older model. Nice work!

Brian,

You got a good eye, I was wondering if someone would catch it. This part was in the kit but what I found odd was the turn signals in it . The grill already has them so I thought that since this kit share some parts with MPC's  different year models. maybe somebody mixed up some parts of an earlier year as this was a kit bought at a swap meet. I painted it different color to suggest exactly what you did.

nice catch. And thanks for your comment.
