Well folks, It's time to choose the theme for the next Cannonball Run Community Build.  As Moderator of this event, it only seems fair to give all interested parties a say in what the Cannonball theme shall be... So I've narrowed down the most popular and or interesting themes that were submitted. We'll choose a theme from the top 5 choices. I've created a voting  poll and I hope it works...  It's my first time trying this... As always, I look forward to everyone's valued opinions, support and participation! See you all in the Next Cannonball!

One other thing I forgot to mention, The voting poll will close on November 28, 2021.  That should be enough time to give everyone a chance to vote. Thanks Agian!

There seems to be no way to keep folks from voting multiple times tho.

I didn't actually vote a second time but it let me back in.

I can confirm that it appears to allow a person to vote multiple times.

Ok, I'll see if I can fix it... I haven't had much experience with these on line surveys...

Edit: OK, I think I have fixed the poll.  Only one vote per response. I feel pretty confident with the website now. I hope we can get more activity in the coming weeks. Thanks for bringing it to my attention. I appreciate it.

Well, I'm not sure what's going on with it. But I do know that it's not counting the extra votes.

When I veiw the results it discredits the multiple votes. Perhaps I'll have to rely on Mike Lunajammer to conduct the poll for the CBR voting. I dont want anything to go wrong with voting on that. Is this how politicians feel when they have to recount? ?

I tried voting on my iPhone and it lets me select the category, then takes me straight to the results but won’t let me click on vote.

I'm very sorry for any inconvenience or confusion with this, the voting process is still active and you should be able to vote. I'm not sure what the problem is?

It appears that the free account I created allows for multiple votes up to 25 votes, which isn't ideally what I would've wanted in this case, thankfully it separates the votes into I.P. Regions and multiple votes are distributed accordingly.

Unfortunately, the free trial is ending soon so I will have to close the polls earlier than I originally intended.

I will say that I have reviewed the current status and there's a sufficient gap between first and second. Third, forth, and fifth, are tied up. If I were to end it now there would be a clear winner. I'll keep everyone updated and reveal the next CBR challenge soon... thanks for your patience.

No need for apologies. You gave it a good go and that's all we can ask for. Thanks for putting the time in on it.

Could not agree more! Good work disconovaman! It will be good and really, does it Mather if there is several votes? It’s “just” a theme ?

At this time I would like to declare the winner of the Cannonball Run 2022 theme is Year of Birth.

It's official! Year of Birth is the clear winner.  The results were conclusive. Year of Birth, 14 votes.

Trucks, Elcaminos, Rancheros,  5 votes

Third through Fifth had 4 votes.

Thanks for all the support and patience with the process guys. I really appreciate the input. I try not to take things too serious because It's really about having fun on this forum for me... and I can't begin to tell y'all what this means to me! I'm honored to keep this tradition going, but I couldn't do it without you all! So Next year's theme will pay tribute to all the builders. Thanks agian to everyone for the participation and inspiration with the CBR from day one!

Just a reminder: to all the voters for the Trucks theme... please pick a truck the year you were born and join us in the CBR 22, won't you?

Will we be restricted to the year in question as far as technology?

Good question... No restrictions, Just your birth year or as close as possible. No limits on power supply or suspension. Do what you want with a bodystyle from the year you were born... that will give everyone a fighting chance hopefully. ?

I'm in. 1968 Buick Riviera using the AMT '69 kit. Already planning it out. ?

I said I was doing a '66 Barracuda,  I should have looked at it a little closer.  What a crappy kit. I'm only going to use 8 pieces from the kit. The glass isn't even usable. The box had a set of quarter panel from a '66 Fairlane, I put them in there a long time ago to fix the rear wheel wells. A set of scoops from a Duster kit and the floor pan from the Fireball 500 kit. This should be interesting!!
