Dodge Returning to NASCAR?!

I ran across this the other night, Dad said he had heard that Stellantis is looking to get Dodge back into NASCAR, there are apparently rumors about it and then I saw this a couple days ago.

Apparently at the same time, Tony Stewart has started a drag racing team with fiance Mopar sponsored Leah Pruitt and her Schumacher Racing teammate,  Matt Hagan, while bringing back the Direct Connection brand.  It also sounds like Stewart-Haas has had a really bad season in NASCAR this year with using Ford power, kinda makes me wonder if he and Haas might be in talks with Stellantis for a possible change to Dodge, if that does come to be.

In 2022 NASCAR teams will NOT be able to build chassis, can NOT hang bodies, vast majority of the car is locked in. Engine tech has not changed greatly since they won the Championship in 2012 so bring an engine and drop it in a generic Cup car. Pretty simple. It would be nice to have 4 manufactures in the series. In 1988 we had FIVE!

I did see somewhere on YouTube or in the comments of the article I posted that the commentor saw a Mopar transporter trailer at Dallara's facility recently.   Wonder of there might be some benifit to Hass' F1 team if Stewart gets tied in with Dodge and Stellantis for NASCAR and NHRA.

Does not matter... all cookie cutter cars, nothing special to watch anymore. Lost interest when the first COT came out.

I would love to see Dodge jump back in the NASCAR water.

I just hold my breath, hoping it's not Joe Gibbs bunch changing brands.

It's too bad Nascar had gotten to where it is. Been a lot years since I watched a race much less enjoyed them when I did. What are these cars, who are these drivers?   And why is it even called Nascar anyway??

The cars all look the same, the drivers all act the same (miss Tony Stewart and Dale).  NA$CAR expects you to cheer for whatever sticker is pasted on the ends of the cars.  And chopping the races into heats?  I've got better things to do like washing the patio, re-arranging my sock drawer.
