Beans Posted December 6, 2021 Posted December 6, 2021 Inherited some Plasticville pieces from my Grandfather years ago. They sat for a long time. This year while helping a friend who just lost her dad, clean out his house, I was given three model train sets. Figured this was as good a year as any to fix up the old village pieces and have a while under the tree scene for Christmas. These are some of the before and after photos. 1
Rick Wolfe Posted December 13, 2021 Posted December 13, 2021 Sweet, can't wait for the layout, HO scale?
mustang1989 Posted December 20, 2021 Posted December 20, 2021 Wow!!!! That's pretty dang cool right there.
Beans Posted December 20, 2021 Author Posted December 20, 2021 Thanks all! It was fun doing it. Although I have learned that I am not going to get into model railroading in this lifetime. I can't keep the thing on the tracks. And you could go broke just buying track alone.. I am somewhat obsessed now with the whole Plasticville village line. So many more things I never knew existed. I ended up adding a Diner and 5 & 10 cent store. Gonna have to find some 1/48 scale cars to build next...
bisc63 Posted December 21, 2021 Posted December 21, 2021 You'll need smaller than 1/48 if that's H-O scale...
peteski Posted December 27, 2021 Posted December 27, 2021 If H0 then there are plenty of vehicles available. If scale is not critical then 1:64 scale vehicles are also aplenty. In a pinch, even Matchbox or Hot Wheels cars would not look too out of place if you aren't coo concerned about accuracy.
r60man Posted January 4, 2022 Posted January 4, 2022 I have that barn in my model train stuff. Very good work!
