MrMiles Posted December 8, 2021 Posted December 8, 2021 This is my 3100 1950 chevy pickup from amt. Its going together pretty good so far
TransAmMike Posted December 8, 2021 Posted December 8, 2021 Looking very good Miles, nice work on the bed strips, Keep up the good work?
Zippi Posted December 9, 2021 Posted December 9, 2021 Nice looking so far. That was my first build when I got back into modeling. Had trouble with the corner windows fitting correctly.
David G. Posted December 9, 2021 Posted December 9, 2021 Everything looks good so far, you have a great start on this. I built this kit years ago and had a lot of fun with it. It's a great kit and there's a lot that can be done wit it. David G.
slusher Posted December 10, 2021 Posted December 10, 2021 I agree with the others,Looking very nice..
ksnow Posted December 13, 2021 Posted December 13, 2021 Looks like it is coming together well. I've got one of these on the shelf, waiting for inspiration.
MrMiles Posted December 13, 2021 Author Posted December 13, 2021 Im finished this one. This took me a long time to build only because it kept going back in the box. In the grand scheme it came out ok, but not perfect. I try not to gloss up my 40s and 50s cars because I like them to look this way. I didn't put on clear or polish it like i do with my others. I like the wood grain. it happened by accident, but i like how it came out.
Zippi Posted December 13, 2021 Posted December 13, 2021 Turned out pretty good Miles. Color looks great.
customline Posted December 18, 2021 Posted December 18, 2021 Looks great, Miles, I also like the color choice. I just finished one of these and regret the color I chose. The look of a daily driver with slightly dulled paint is a good look for this subject. I wish I had gone that way. ?. Planning is everything. What did you use to install the quarter glass? The parts in my kit needed some "adjustment" to make them fit. I glued mine with the low odor CA. Love that stuff.
