Pete68 Posted December 28, 2021 Posted December 28, 2021 Who’s going to be in charge of the 2022 BRBO
carsntrucks4you Posted December 28, 2021 Posted December 28, 2021 (edited) I'll through my hat in the ring with a Mack R-Series with aussie log trailer,a Freightliner Coronado 114 8x4 in New Zealand configuration and a third truck maybe a Actros 8x8 or so. Lets see if I can manage to finish the Mack logger ? Edited December 31, 2021 by carsntrucks4you

gotnitro? Posted December 29, 2021 Posted December 29, 2021 There's a ton of fantastic projects in store for 2022 ! Anyone want to volunteer to run the 22 ?
JerseeJerry55 Posted December 31, 2021 Author Posted December 31, 2021 Change of plans. Let’s see if I can pull this off. Standard issues a future Fowler project always has. Colors, livery, lack of confidence.
kuhnj Posted December 31, 2021 Posted December 31, 2021 Gonna build the Autocar kit, and probably (if time allows) try to fab up a Leach refuse body. Always loved the look of these beasts.. and yes, planning on painting it in red/green, they look really sharp.
Pete68 Posted December 31, 2021 Posted December 31, 2021 Everyone has some nice stuff lined up now we need a host?
gotnitro? Posted December 31, 2021 Posted December 31, 2021 Cant wait to see that autocar garbage truck come together, I've had one planned awhile . There's been some interest in a host , surprised no one has jumped in. Start an official topic , make up a few loose rules to keep it organized, start / end date ( dec 31st is very popular) and have fun !
wayne00 Posted December 31, 2021 Posted December 31, 2021 I had a quick PM chat with Jeff. I will host the 2022 BRBO. I will start an official thread tonight where everyone can sign-up. All my hopes for a good year!!! Rog? 1
JerseeJerry55 Posted December 31, 2021 Author Posted December 31, 2021 Looking to maybe do her like this picture. Obviously dechroming the parts as she is a work truck. Will do the frame in semi gloss Black. Undecided on decals.

I think I am going to try contrasting paint on cab parts. I had a DM800 I got as a Christmas gift in 1977. I did some parts in Red and brush painted some parts in gloss black. Thinking maybe I do the air cleaner in gloss or semi gloss black rattle can.

I think that’s how we all did it back in the day “ Brush Painting”. I’m thinking about a DM800 for the BRBO last time I built one was back in 1987. I still have some parts from it but that’s all
kuhnj Posted December 31, 2021 Posted December 31, 2021 Thanks for hosting, Rog! Jeff, I'm excited to see the truck come together as well.

Hopefully that will do the trick. It’s always the small things that bug me. Oh well it can never be easy.
gotnitro? Posted December 31, 2021 Posted December 31, 2021 jerry- sounds like your on your way to having a good project ! The DM is a popular truck, opens up tons of variety.
