Went out and ran the snowblower for about 15 min...cleared about 1/2 the width of the driveway all the way down to the street, and the sidewalk along the tree lawn in both directions...still snowing, though...will have to do it again in the morning..

I’ve been hearing about a horrible blizzard that is stretching from the Midwest through Northern NY,(Buffalo),all the way to Main.Ice,snow,rain,etc.Is anybody out there caught in this storm?

To be honest, my lunch break today around 1:15pm CST was the first time I've left the house since getting home with dinner for Dad and myself since Monday night sometime after 6pm. I work from home, so not having to leave the house to work in these conditions is a nice perk!

Yeah, esp. in colder climates working from home is great. I've been doing it for almost 5 years now, and don't miss having a commute.  Everything I do is on a computer, so as long I have a fast internet connection I'm fine.   My current employer has an office about 30 miles away, I've only visited 3 times in the last year.  Most everyone at the company works from home...

I was pretty lucky to begin with at this job, my office is less than 4miles away and the last 2 retail jobs I had were 6-15 miles, depending on the locations, and there was no work from home options there!

I was entertained yesterday. First, the mail woman couldn’t get up the hill on our unplowed road. I went out to help and knew where to quickly shovel as the snow drag was stopping progress. She backed up and got a run. Made it halfway. I asked her if she could do the exact thing again. She enthusiastically answered “YES”!   I shoveled a little more. As you can see from the “other shot” you come downhill on dirt into a 90 left then uphill. She backed it halfway up that hill and nailed it and had it sideways and opposite lock with the throttle punched!!!  So cool to see as she made it up to the top to deliver the mail!  Attitude baby!  We exchanged stories and off she went.

then this clown gets stuck down there. Didn’t want any advice or help. Didn’t want water, hot chocolate or coffee.  Fine. He called a service crew to winch him up the hill.

Good all ages entertainment from the comfort of our home. ?

Just goes to show that being open to advice and being nice can be the difference in getting unstuck and on your way, or stuck at the bottom of the hill twiddling your thumbs.

Beautiful pics!

I don't want to jinx it, but it seems like we've had a LOT less snow than last year, with less predicted thru until spring too.

Suits me, even as pretty as it is...

I have enjoyed seeing all of the pictures of the snow. Here it's 50 degrees now and I just got back from the car wash, and we already have golfers on the green behind our place.
