Lowlife ! ! Posted December 29, 2021 Posted December 29, 2021 My son is mad on these cars, and drifting, so i bought him drift lessons in one ! Thought for xmas id build him a replica of him drifting , with a little base to go with it... Started with the Tamiya Eunos Roadster kit, because it came with a hard top. The suspension was lent over on one side, and the front wheels fitted on full lock to simulate sliding... Driver is a Scalextric figure, cut about so he could hold the wheel, and look in the right direction ! Smoke is just cotton wool with ground up pepper ! I just got it finished in time, and he loved it !! Thanks for looking.... 3
Roger U Posted December 30, 2021 Posted December 30, 2021 That is very cool. The car model is nicely built and the whole scene looks like fun. Good looking tire “smoke”.
Cool Hand Posted December 30, 2021 Posted December 30, 2021 Indeed a very cool build, great idea well executed. Can see why your lad loves it.
Steve H Posted December 30, 2021 Posted December 30, 2021 Oh ya Martin, that is super cool. Awesome idea. Building for friends, relatives, or loved ones is very rewarding. I’ve done builds for my dad, mom, and daughter, definitely some of my favourite projects. The “smoke” looks the part, and pepper for rubber flying is brilliant. Cheers, Steve
Spottedlaurel Posted December 30, 2021 Posted December 30, 2021 Nice one Martin! Looks really effective.
Lowlife ! ! Posted December 31, 2021 Author Posted December 31, 2021 Thank you for the comments guys, much appreciated !
Eric Macleod Posted December 31, 2021 Posted December 31, 2021 That sure looks the part. Miatas are great cars. I've owned 1:1s and will own at least one more some day.
