Grumpy’s 72 Vega.. kinda..

Started working on the grumpys vega pro stock kit, things got out of hand lol… tube chassis, lower stance, scratch build wing and who knows what else my brain is gonna come up with…

Scratch built a little parachute mount for the rear.. she’s coming along quick to my surprise

I don’t have access to “tubing” so I used a few parts trees sanded down to the thickness I needed.

Front frame pieces, firewall done and one tub in. Hopping to finish up the other tub in the next day or so and get even closer to paint. Have to build the front and rear suspension mount the motor and build the rollcage…

tubs done rollcage started.. surprisingly this thing is just kinda cruising along which has been really nice..

Thanks, me too. I’ve seen a lot but this was my First time ever doing it

scratch built shocks and springs for the rear end and for some reason I decided to make the front end removable.. it’s going somewhere, stay tuned to see where it ends up..

well the old Vega got a pro charger added to the motor which may get the motor moved back into the firewall a bit..  front suspension is starting to come together, four link is being built for the rear and hopefully this thing will run into some paint soon..  this Vega was the inspiration for all this, just lower and meaner but paint wise I’m looking at a green/gold metal flake party…
