Well, the body has arrived, the kit is on one shelf and the Holmes 750 I built earlier is on another shelf. Time for them to come together.

No, not really. Mostly I was debating between two-tone or a solid color.

I had totally forgotten about it until a few weeks ago. It is next after the current one.

The '56 Ford is on hold, so I started pecking at this one. Working on the engine. It is awkward since the numbers on the instruction sheet don't match the numbers on the sprues. At least the images are a good guide.

A quick mockup indicates that there likely will not be any need to adjust the lenght of the frame.

But mockup #2 says "Thou shalt slide axles back".

Which indicates that the spread isn't wide enough. Jensen solved this by removing the skirt beteeen the wheels.

Also, I forgot to cut down the sides of the body to make the doors for the outriggers before I assembled the body.

This forgetfulness is getting annoying. welcome to the golden age. I gurss I'll have to disassemble the deck to do the necessary mods.

Pat, at least you noticed, that the parts were still missing. Be glad you didn't finish it, and then noticed the missing stabilizers!

Too bad your going to have to hack up the bed to make everything work, but its something ya can definitely handle !

Had to sand off one tool box door and part of another one to make room for the outrigger doors.

The Holmes was temporarily held together by round rods. They will be trimmed and boltheads added.
