RSchnell Posted January 30, 2022 Posted January 30, 2022 (edited) Here is the finished build of the Hubley Ford Coupe I posted about in this thread. Not happy with the pinstriping, but for a shelf sitter it's just fine. Those old metal kits aren't the most detailed and take some work to get the flash off, but they are fun to build! Colors are Tamiya TS-55 dark blue, Tamiya TS-14 black and Humbrol 89 blue wheels and stripe. I was going for the combo of the original Lombard Blue/Black with Hessian Blue wheels & stripe that was offered on the 1:1 1930 Fords. Edited January 30, 2022 by RSchnell 5
ewetwo Posted February 3, 2022 Posted February 3, 2022 Looks great. I have one and you are right about the flashing.
Painted Black Posted February 3, 2022 Posted February 3, 2022 Nice to see what they look like before we get our grubby hot rod hands on them
happy grumpy Posted February 3, 2022 Posted February 3, 2022 Beautiful stock Ford. I like the blue wheels and accent lines.
Eric Macleod Posted February 4, 2022 Posted February 4, 2022 This came out really well. Nicely done. It makes me want to build one!
RSchnell Posted February 8, 2022 Author Posted February 8, 2022 Thanks for the kind words! I found my box of pinstriping brushes, so I'll be able to lay down some straight lines. LOL
