AMT 55 Chevy Cameo

Howdy all,,just finished this AMT 55 cameo pu.  It went together fairly well,,but the lower  front of the bed seems to be molded not in alignment with the back of  cab body work,strange. Guess I could have carefully bent them a little bit outward and that may have helped fit + finish. And after ligning up the cab  over the  front wheels centered in  there wheel wells ,,I mocked up the bed to it,,and ,,what?  WHAT? The rear wheel openings didnt match the rearend placement!   and I followed the directions correctly,,so,,, But overall its ok. Used testors QK dry spray can for top color  turquoise green. Hand  painted everything else. I did the trim the green because Im sick of silver on everything  all the time.   And added some basic wiring  ect.  Hand painted the rims tri-tone colors.   Its a classic design truck ,,had to build one. We now return you to our regularly scheduled program.

Thnx,,Zip,,the side windows were easy,,but the front wndshld was another story. had to be carefull not to insert it too far in{directions said to insert it from front} ,otherwise it kept falling out thru the interior on to  the floor,/table.  So,set it in best I could,,and used small brush w/clear coat  around outer perimeter of glass. Seems to work. Thanks for lookin

Thanks espo,,I was thinkin of doing it just like the box art,,its the coca-cola truck AMT kit  w/the coke vending machine.  But I like 2tone type finishes. Thnx again

Excellent job Scott! Love the color scheme. ? Thanks for pointing out the flaws with the kit. I will have to watch out for them when I do mine.

Thanks noble,,and thanks to all who commented.  Now im not sure if my kit is one of few out there molded in the way I described,,but it is what it is. Its still looks good on the shelf!
