That's a beauty! Molding and smoothing the chromework, and the monochromatic paint scheme really cleans up the lines of the squarebird. I love these cars in all their versions from bone stock to wild custom. This is a nicely modernized custom. The engine is particularly nice! Very well done all around.

Thank you Rusty!

I too love the basic design of the 58. But I find that the more you move away from the "chrome barge" cues, the better it gets!

Great looking Kustom body work. The tops lines are different from the body lines, but it looks good they way you have done this.

Claude I love the roll in in the middle of the trunk.  At least that is what we called it when we built one on my friend’s skateboard half pipe in the 80s.  Another hit from the Thibodeau table of mad creations!- Mark

Hi Mark!

Thank you for the comments, and making my education about skateboard! As to the "mad creations", I'm afraid my wife shares your opinion... But, we have more coming, stay tuned!

Another home run  Claude! Awesome body work, wheels and underhood/interior details! Very creative upgrades for a terrible (IMO) kit!

Hi Oliver!

Thank you. And you are right: there are many "fit issues" in this kit. Choosing to shut the doors permanently solved a few, but was also a lot of finishing/block sanding work. Reminded me of the AMT Avanti in this respect. Learning curve...

Okay, that interior requires some extra looksie. Very sophisticated. My barristers are debating the cat roof, but anything different is good, right? Still, everything lives up to the usual Thibodeau jaw drop. You need to start charging admission.

Hi Mike!

Thanks for the comments, and the good sense of humour!

To your point about "charging admission"... That would make this hobby a business proposition, and as you know, in business, distribution is key. I'm not certain we could come-up with a viable biz model... LOL.

Thanks David!

As you can tell, the rear pillars are lower and more rounded than the OEM, and windshield is sooooo much more tilted back. It may offend purists, but I feel it makes it more contemporary, for better or worse...

I'll admit, when I read the title I was really unsure and didn't think I'd like that mashup, but man does that make a cool custom.  Who woulda thought?  Extremely nice work!

Great design and execution, very future forward design but the classic lines are still there and the color adds sophistication.  This would make a great prototype for a max effort 1 :1 ISCA Radical Custom contender

The quality and creativeness of your builds never cease to amaze me. Great work.

Hi Tom!

Thanks for the compliments, but you just raised the pressure for the next one. Hope I won't disapoint you!

Very well done Claude! Modern roofs on older bodies rarely work. But, this has quite a natural look to it. And you're welcome for the recipe!

Thank you Tony!

My options for a donor roof were limited, but the lenght, width and height of the Cougar greenhouse just "fell in place". Can you say "lucky"?

Thanks Ian!

A few Goodguys members have customized 58 Tbirds more as pro-touring variations, but you are right: we should see more of those in 1/1 !

Truth be told... I'm a Blue Oval guy. Might have to do with the fact my first four cars were Ford(s)? Who knows?

No problem Claude, you are not alone in this clan, it's a big family and Ford enthusiasts are real ones, no doubt you are a good ambassador of the brand my friend.

You don't have any more proof to do but you can continue to impress us, we are capable of taking it... ?
