This is the last of 4 early 60s custom cars that the original buildet never completed. This screw bottom 59 had the hood neatly removed but I dont have it. The only thing that fits pretty close is a 63 Chevy and I can work with that. It soaked in Super Clean fo almost a week to remove really thick paint. Since the back half of the interior bucket is gone I have this parts box rear seat convertible tonneau

That looks like fun. It's going to look cool when done. I think I have some 59-60 Chevy parts. Let me know if you need anything.

I got this one someone had built. It was falling apart and had a 59 Chevy windshield frame. I tore it down, molded in a 69 GTO windshield frame, repainted it and got it together.

Something like that made to fit a C1 Vette chassis could be fun!  Been thinking of taking one of the Barris Batmobile kits I have and shortening it to fit an early, 2 seat T-Bird chassis lately too.

Cool little GTO roadster

A '59 El Camino top would turn that into a sweet little custom coupe! Tom, your GTO is screamin' for a cartoon driver as it has a real Deal's Wheels proportion and shape going on!

When I saw it I wasn't sure it wasn't a Deal's Wheels kit since I never knew what subjects they made. One of the reasons I bid on it was to get it and see if it was a DW or someone's custom creation. I was happy to see that it had been chopped down to make the shortened body.

Back to the OP so that I don't hog this post.

A few days of sanding and putty and more sanding and more putty to get this far. I gathered up a bunch of parts and started some mock up. Interior still soaking, paint is really holding its ground. Took a shot of a stock 59 body for comparison to the 59 shorty.
