RDean58 Posted March 22, 2022 Posted March 22, 2022 I did some painting on the Nova today, Tamiya TS-54 light metallic without a clear coat. Tail section was painted with Tamiya Silver leaf Interior was shot with Testors auto lacquer Nassau Blue without a clear coat. Dash and steering column are TS-54 light metallic This was painted with Odds & Ends flat black To finish up my painting I did the exhaust in Tamiya flat aluminum. Thats all for now, thank you for looking. All comments welcomed. 3
Ian McLaren Posted March 22, 2022 Posted March 22, 2022 Great color, nice paint, excellent subject matter you are off to a strong start
Zippi Posted March 22, 2022 Posted March 22, 2022 Great start on the 64 Nova SS. That's a good looking blue. The exhaust looks pretty nice. I'll have to try the Tamiya Flat Aluminum.
Snake45 Posted March 22, 2022 Posted March 22, 2022 Beautiful color and finish! I think you're the first person I've seen working on the '64 HT rather than the '65 gasser. Drive on!
espo Posted March 22, 2022 Posted March 22, 2022 I agree with everyone else on the color and the finish looks almost like you could forgo a clear coat. I didn't realize that this kit had two different exhaust systems, great idea.
