Wow, Pierre. She looks perfect. Can't wait for all the other final shots from every angle. If you had not mentioned brush painting, nobody, I mean nobody would have a clue it was brush painted. You keep giving me inspiration that I can finally get a paint job like this one. I'm never giving up on the quest.

Wow. You did a great job on this. I have two of these kits in my stash, and have frankly been somewhat intimidated by them. I feel like I can try mine now with all this good information. Thank you so much.

Salut Pierre!

Fantastic work, bravo! This kit is legendary, and I learned a lot about it reading from your posts. Thanks!

Fantastic work, Pierre!

Just to close the loop on the paint color - It is indeed Chevy Silver Blue Poly (per Revs Institute painter)

Cliff, as best as I could figure out from research and fellow builders input, the car campaigned in 63 Mecom Blue (= Pelham Blue) and then Delmo Johnson painted it Silver Blue (a 58 Corvette color) sometimes into the 64 season.

The color mix I did was my attempt to replicate Silver Blue. I think I got it 80% right. Good enough for this brush painter.

Hi Pierre, I'm building this exact Chassis #4 in 2025 and I never built a kit that hard in all my years of modeling. I'm facing the same exact problems, mostly, nothing fits. I got the decals from VRM and the Pelham blue from MCW. Plus I created problems by adding hinges to the bonnet that will, for sure interfere, with the radiator, but I will lower it and get it closer to the engine. I'm thinking about lowering the chassis too, as you did, but everything is so fragile on the chassis that, perhaps, I will just glue the wheels of center, I know, but I'm getting tired of it. I will maybe build an other one, later, knowing all the problems from my experience, your precious solutions and the ones from the (kind) members also. Good continuation.

Bonjour Yves, I felt very much the same way when I took this one on 3 years ago. Of the few of these I could find build information the common thread I saw was a car riding high and too big tires and stories about how challenging this build could be. On the plus side the kit has high quality components and both the body and engine are simply spectacular. I did not have access to a good WIP from another builder so I made many mistakes along the way but I'm happy I persevered. Stick with it,  the kit definitely worth the effort. You have VRM decals too and these are excellent.
