Added the floor mats, dimmer switch and gas pedal to the floor pan, and the E-brake and brake and clutch pedals to the dash.

yeah, what he ^^^ said.

Awesome fidelity to scale replication.

(or your shrink ray hasn't shut down your local power grid yet...?

Thanks guys! :)

Not getting much time to dedicate to the bench lately, but I did manage to get into the shop for a few minutes to pick out a couple more details that needed doing before I can begin the final assembly of the interior.

As this model is designed to depict a vehicle with some use, I needed to add a little dirt to the pedals, and of course, the driver's side floor mat shouldn't appear pristine.

I also added a bit of trim around the base of the shift boot.

That's about all that I could find time for today.

Over the top detail Steve, WOW!

Thanks Dennis!!

Managed to get into the shop for a few minutes today and make a shift lever.

A knob taken from the AMT '62 Catalina kit situated on a straight pin.

I even managed the "H" pattern on the knob.

The numbers are a little out of my realm of possibility. :P

Maybe some wear on the pedals might be in order depending on the mileage that is undoubtedly showing on the odometer ?

Well... the driver's side floor mat is already dirty. So, it'd make sense.

Nudging in a little closer to mating the chassis to the body for the final time
.
Got the door panels, dash, steering wheel, and radiator bulkhead and radiator permanently installed.

Doing one final test fit to be certain that everything fits as it should before I glue in the glass, and finally install the chassis and interior into the body.
Then it's just all of the fun stuff. ?

Love following this. When I was 13, my parents bought  a new 1964 Pontiac Grand Prix. Took my drivers test in it when 16! Big 64's are about my favorite car. If a big Pontiac was ordered with the optional 421 engine, the car came with beautiful 421 flag emblems on the side of both front fenders. I have the 62 Super Duty Catalina in my stash. I was over the top excited to order the photo etch set for it and get the 421 flag emblems. I was so disappointed to see that the photo etch set only replicates the emblem for one side. The right and left emblems are different. Google and see. After all these decades I had my hopes up. I contacted the vendor asking if a correction was available and told no.

Thanks Robert.

Thankfully, I don't have to worry about the 421 badges.

This one is a standard 389 4bbl. ;)

While in the process of getting the windshield installed, I decided to do a little experiment to see if I could replicate some windshield seals with some black wire.

So far it's looking like it will work.

Steve, your attention to detail and craftsmanship is simply mind blowing.   It's like looking at the real thing scaled down to 1/25.   Rock on sir!

Steve NASA wants the shrink-ray back ?

  Thanks fellas.

The windshield seals are finished.

They worked out as well as can be expected I suppose.

Great I’m going to get me some, can you tell us how you attached it to the windshield?

I taped the wire in place, flowed a little clear 2-part epoxy into the joint between the frame and wire, and then quickly wiped away the excess glue with Q-tips.

I've been making a little progress.

I finally mated the chassis and interior to the body for the final time, right after gluing in the rear view mirror, front seats, shifter and rear wheels.

I also detailed and added the grille halves.

Next, I made radiator hoses and installed them bringing the engine bay to a finale! :D

This is without a doubt one of the most impressive builds I've ever witnessed. This is the type of modeling that I aspire to but will most likely never achieve. Well done!
