Started the Mill City resin '53 Ford.  The quality is very good to start off with. Found a resin '54 grill  and will be using the  F 800 spoke type resin wheels and  resin tires from AITM.  The frame  is a slightly lengthened  Dodge L700.   Already  have an old IMC tanker that looks like it is  from the same era of time, going for a vintage milk hauler look.

Thanks for the comments and interest. Got the 317 cu in. V8 in place, basically a  "truckized" Y block with larger oil pan, ram type exhaust and an air compressor, also used the Dodge L 700 5 speed trans and 7 blade fan.   Using chrome headlight buckets from a '51 Chevy Fleetline.

Frame is nearing completion.  Getting ready for the paint shop. Removed C 600 hood side emblem, C 800's used the larger Big Job emblem. Will have to fabricate something.

You have really captured the essence of this truck. Instead of a tanker consider the ERTL single axle vintage car hauler with a few 53 thru 56 F100's on it. That would be perfection for us F100 fans.

Very nice!  I really enjoy seeing the older truck builds and being a former tanker driver (LNG cross country) I admit to being a bit biased. Well done!  ?
