Khils Posted June 13, 2022 Posted June 13, 2022 I found these orphan tail light lenses during a parts box hunt & would appreciate if someone could tell me what they belong to.
Mark Posted June 13, 2022 Posted June 13, 2022 No idea right now, but something to indicate their size would help.
StevenGuthmiller Posted June 13, 2022 Posted June 13, 2022 (edited) They look a little like ‘64 Pontiac Grand Prix lenses, but they seem a little too short. Steve Edited June 13, 2022 by StevenGuthmiller

Steve I apologize Mark for no size reference... and like Steve ...my 1st thought also was '64 GP. To help clarity...those to the right are '64 GP tail lights.
Mark Posted June 13, 2022 Posted June 13, 2022 Still can't help, but that "flat" sprue would seem to point to a kit that was tooled in the Seventies or later. 1

I concur with the flat sprue theory...Im also leaning twords Johan ....I was thinking their clear & red sprue were on the flat side more so than the others. Edited June 14, 2022 by Khils
Mark Posted June 14, 2022 Posted June 14, 2022 Most Jo-Han taillights had mounting pins on the back, or mounting tabs, because all but a handful of their kits had their origins in promotional models. AMT Seventies kits usually had no red lenses, the instructions directed builders to paint the taillights. They eliminated separate red lenses from some reissues of earlier kits. Hard to figure this one out...
Can-Con Posted June 14, 2022 Posted June 14, 2022 Not necessarily a "factory stock" tail light. Could be a lens from some custom option.
Plowboy Posted June 14, 2022 Posted June 14, 2022 They kinda look like a custom tail light for a '69 Camaro.

Keef Posted June 14, 2022 Posted June 14, 2022 (edited) Revell 64 GTO maybe? Edited June 14, 2022 by Keef 1
Bills72sj Posted June 14, 2022 Posted June 14, 2022 Isn't there some sort of mid 60's Mercury Comet/Caliente/Cyclone that have similar tail lights?
Oldcarfan27 Posted June 15, 2022 Posted June 15, 2022 Custom taillights for the AMT 63 Vette? IIRC, the MPC 76 Ventura taillights are chrome, not red.
