David G. Posted June 24, 2022 Posted June 24, 2022 Beautiful work Bill! It looks so delicate, dainty even. David G.
Bainford Posted June 24, 2022 Posted June 24, 2022 I'm really digging this build, Bill. Very nice, clean work. Looks like a beautiful kit. I've been interested in this kit for a while, and seeing it built now, I must get one. Excellent work on this automobile legend.
Nacho Z Posted June 25, 2022 Posted June 25, 2022 What a great looking model! You don’t see very many of these being built. Yours is one of the nicest examples I have ever seen. Great job, Bill!
spencer1984 Posted June 29, 2022 Author Posted June 29, 2022 Thank guys! On 6/24/2022 at 7:31 AM, David G. said: It looks so delicate, dainty even. That's probably the biggest challenge to building it, everything is so small and delicate it's like handling a spider web at times. Once it's all together it seems plenty sturdy, though. Probably because it has no weight to get it into trouble!
Craig Irwin Posted July 2, 2022 Posted July 2, 2022 Looks fantastic! What is the difference with the "Easy" version and how do you tell them apart by the box?

Thanks! The "Easy" version doesn't have the photoetch parts in it, so the wheels and chains are made up of fewer parts. Here are the boxes for that and the one I built:
peteski Posted July 5, 2022 Posted July 5, 2022 Interesting. My kit (with photoetched parts) has a part# 24040, and it has the model pictured on a solid white background. I wonder what is the difference between it and the 24041?

I think 24040 was the release without the figures of Bertha and her two sons?

Ah yes, mine has no figures - just the vehicle. It just now registered in my brain that 24041 included the figures. You didn't mention that in your initial post. How are those figures? The casting quality looks very good, but I haven't done anything with them yet. My figure painting skills are still pretty "novice," so I wanted to try a few more practice runs before I attempted them.
