From the Vault - Final Selection. Voting ends 7/3/22

The Avenger kit is complete!

It's time to bring From the Vault to an end as a regular column in MCM. Below are your final selections. All of these have a common theme: Repurposing. 

 

First up we have Carl Casper's Phone Booth. This is a reattempt from my childhood. Let's see if I can make the doors slide open.

 

Next, we have the Elegant Farmer. If I remember right, this one was almost rereleased, but there was not enough interest. Maybe it's time to see what this is all about.

 

And finally, Here is the Amazing Moon Mixer. Another reattempt from my childhood. What else can you do with an Apollo capsule? Think of the Jolly Roger in space.

I'd choose the phone booth.

I never got to see the Avenger built.

Thanks for jumping in on the survey, Patrick. I'm partial to the Phone Booth too, but as it sits now, it looks like the Moon mixer will be the final subject matter for From the Vault.

I was one of the people who voted for the Moon Mixer (just because I'm curious to see one built up fully, and I don't have one in my collection) - so I'm excited to see this come together!

Oh, I don't have a subscription. I don't subscribe to any magazines, since costs went through the roof and quality went down.

Not saying this mag specifically, just the other one's I had.

Moon Mixer looks interesting.  Maybe it's because I know there is a concrete shortage now.

Also - gotta love the Dave Deal box art. Wonder if that is Dave in the bubble?

To make the Phone booth correct you would have to do some work ,and I have seen a lot of moon mixers made, so I would pick the wheel barrow  just because it's deferent.

Thanks to everyone who voted and gave their reason for their choice. It's fun to see why people want to see a particular model built. 

Because this was a show rod based selection, I also offered up the same choices on the show rod site.  They had 2 for the Phonebooth and 1 for the Elegant Farmer.

 

Final score was:

Phone Booth - 11

Elegant Farmer - 11

Moon Mixer - 12.

That was a close one. I might build the other two later on.
