Looks similar to the old Smithsonian engine kit of years past. However, there is one cheaper. I found it on Pinterest.

I don't think their definition of "working" is the same as mine. Other than that, looks cool.

I'd be sceptical about an operating aluminum all metal model with 500+ pieces and ONLY $53.

Me smells a scam!

Although, the $500 kit is a little fishy too. What does it have that makes it cost so much?

I've seen them go for less than a 100 bucks... There's also videos on how to assemble those....

I just bought a real 289 bored .060" over, complete except for cam and lifters, for $800.

I think I got a better deal.

Is this the same one discussed a few years ago? On that one, it was discovered that the $53 engine was only a simpler one cylinder engine and the 8 cylinder engine shown in the ad was considerably more expensive.

It'll go in a 1:1 model just fine. Didn't we have a discussion about "how big is too big etc. etc." recently?
