Summer nights can be difficult to sleep in without AC if you don't devise alternative strategies to deal with the heat, which I have.

have to have been a child who became a teenager and got a driver's license and first car in the 70's then quickly added mag wheels, fat rear tires, rear air shocks, a hot cam, headers and loud exhaust

Pothole riddled streets and low profile tires on aluminum rims don't mix well and can get rather expensive to replace.
