Mopar - D Posted August 8, 2022 Posted August 8, 2022 (edited) This is the Revell 1970 Charger R/T with a Hemi. I’m going with MCW B7 Dark Met. Blue with a Mopar black and white interior. I’ve already decided to change out the wheels and tires the red line tires were not offered in 1970 on the Charger. As always your comments and criticism are always welcome and appreciated. Kenmojr Posted August 9, 2022 Posted August 9, 2022 Cool year and model to build, often overlooked by the 1968 and 1969 Charger. What engine does it have?
Bronzekeg Posted August 9, 2022 Posted August 9, 2022 keep up the killer work Dan, you're going to need another car carrier. hehehe....

Actually I’m updating my older builds on the transporter with these new builds. But yea I’ve got a couple more car carriers in my stash lol.
Mopar - D Posted August 10, 2022 Author Posted August 10, 2022 Did some painting today. I’m using white primer on the body and I also put the decals on the dash and center console. Depending on the weather tomorrow I may be able to get some blue on the body. 1

Thanks Carl , I had this paint left over from another build and I ended up having just enough paint to do this one. 2 hours ago, mustang1989 said: Man!!!! Crankin' 'em out these days Dan!! Thanks Joe, I may need a admission break on this one I’ve ordered more MAD distributors and BMF and waiting on the delivery. But yesterday I received my Hemmings Muscle Machines magazine and they did a write up on a 1971 GTX in Plum Crazy Purple. I have a old MPC GTX kit with the parts still in the sealed bag so if this one gets stalled I will be starting on this one. Edited August 11, 2022 by Mopar - D 1
Bainford Posted August 11, 2022 Posted August 11, 2022 The shade of blue you chose looks fantastic. I like it! So much nicer than the B5 blue.
Bronzekeg Posted August 11, 2022 Posted August 11, 2022 keep the mopar kits coming. I know someone that likes building them. love that blue Dan.
drodg Posted August 11, 2022 Posted August 11, 2022 Love B7 and it seldom seen on the 1:1 cars. Keep up the good work.
Mike C. Posted August 11, 2022 Posted August 11, 2022 Anybody know when this kit came out. It's got to be an older one. Does Revell have any plans to re issue it. I could only find 1 on eBay and it's like $95.

I like building the rare 1:1 versions but sometimes they are hard to find. 1 hour ago, Mike C. said: Anybody know when this kit came out. It's got to be an older one. Mike it was issued around 2016 and Spotlight Hobbies has one for $55 https://www.spotlighthobbies.com/old-unbuilt-kits-1970-1979.html 27 minutes ago, Kenmojr said: Looking fantastic.... Thanks Ken 1
Mike C. Posted August 11, 2022 Posted August 11, 2022 Thanks Ken. Maybe I'll wait until the show up on the shelves at HL if they ever re issue this kit.
Dragonhawk1066 Posted August 11, 2022 Posted August 11, 2022 That's a great looking color! I painted the Revell '67 Chevelle SS396 in Testors Arctic Blue Metallic Enamel that is a very similar color.

Mopar - D Posted August 12, 2022 Author Posted August 12, 2022 I used all my blue paint when I sprayed the body and I was doing a light wet sanding on the body and burned through in a couple places. I was afraid of that it seamed like the paint was thin in some places so I’ve ordered some more paint. I was able to work on the interior and believe I’m done with it now. I did a test fit to see how the interior fits in the body. So far so good. I just set the wheels to see how it looks. 5
