Zippi Posted August 30, 2022 Posted August 30, 2022 (edited) I have started my next project. It's the Moebius 1965 Chevy II Gasser. I got some of the parts cleaned up, glued together, and did a trial fit of the body over the interior tub. Just now got the Tamiya White Fine Surface Primer shot on the body & parts. I'm going with the Tamiya X-7 Red Acrylic paint and it will be cleared with the Tamiya X-22 Clear. Things are looking good so far. Edited August 30, 2022 by Zippi 1

Zippi Posted September 2, 2022 Author Posted September 2, 2022 (edited) Just got the Tamiya X-22 Clear shot on the body. I had a little trouble with the Tamiya X-7 Acrylic red paint but I think once I polish is out it should look ok. Edited September 2, 2022 by Zippi 2

bluestringer Posted September 4, 2022 Posted September 4, 2022 Saw in one of your videos where you picked up that #29 Cartoon Network NASCAR model. I built a lot of the old Monogram NASCAR kits back in the day, you got a good deal on that one. I never built that one, but I did online racing back then with the old Papyrus NASCAR 2000 PC game. We had a online racing club where we ran NASCAR races once a week competing with each other on one of the game servers. That #29 Cartoon Network car was the car I ran most of time, so that brought back some memories. I've seen the kit on ebay going for around 15 to 25 bucks. I may just pick one up and build it.

That's pretty kewl James. At least someone knows something about that car. I plan on using it for parts.
Zippi Posted September 5, 2022 Author Posted September 5, 2022 I got out in the garage this morning and did a little wet sanding and polishing on the 65. I rubbed so much I think a Genie popped out That's about all I can do with the paint. 3
