That's looking really good Bob! I remember building this kit after getting back into the hobby as an adult about 30 years ago or so. ?

Thanks man.  The instructions leave a lot to the imagination on this one.

Ok guys....I just got a rolling chassis and trail fitted the body.  It now has a little bit of a California rake.  I thought I had it setting level before.  I guess now I need to decide if I want to tear it back about and adjust the front suspension to get it level or just leave it.  Whatya all think?

You may not agree, but I would remove the skirts, but that is something you probably really want, and leave the ride height as is.

Thank's for your input Dave.  Unfortunately, removing the fender skirts would require some body work and a repaint.  I'm kinda diggin them anyway.

Try some lowering blocks in the rear to make it sit level. I think that would look best with the skirts. Now if you want to experiment a little you could see if you like the look as a tail dragger, lower in the rear. My vote would be level but do it however it looks best to you.

Thanks for the suggestions Dave.

Sorry Bob, but I have to agree with espo. Make it level with some lowering blocks in the rear as the rake doesn't suit it. But saying that, it's your build and you should do what makes you happy. Also have you thought of adding a set of lake pipes. Looking forward to seeing it finished and great build so far.

Cheers, David. ??

Thank's Dave.  Yeah, I was setting here this morning thinking about the ride height.  I pretty much decided to take it apart and reverse the front spindles to get it level.  This is going to be pretty much stock but I did put the 440 cu. in. engine in it to make it a sleeper.

The paint is great, the rake? With the skirts, I'd go level...just my two cents worth.

Thanks Charles.  Yup, that's the plan for this morning.

Ok...I'm liking the new level ride height.  I satisfied with this so I"m moving forward with the build.

Well....the headlight buckets had so much flash that a lot of the chrome came off while doing some finish sanding.  Perfect time to try the Molotow Liquid Chrome through my airbrush.  I pulled the Liquid Chrome out of a pen I bought.  I think it came out pretty nice.
