Model holder

I think this was made to hold circuit boards but it sure comes in handy for applying decals. At least for me as I’m not good with them. I built this Olds a year ago and thought why not give it a try. Not perfect but this gadget helps.

What is the gadget called and where did you find it?  It looks like it would be very helpful applying decals as shown.

Got it off eBay a year or so ago. Helps with gluing side mirrors on and such.

Are the holder attachments soft or hard plastic? Do they mark the paint when you tighten them down?

I haven't any problem. One end is spring loaded so you can adjust how strong you want it.

I have several of these and they are great! Wish I could find a longer piece to connect the 2 end pieces in order to use this to hold larger cars.

Why not get a piece of good hard wood that is longer?
