Jean Michel Jarre's Oxygene is an outstanding synthesizer composition that he played love at the Paris Olympics closing ceremony.

I'm a big fan of Jean Michel Jarre's early work, but some of the later stuff is somewhat strange.  But I also  realize that this genre of music is  not for everybody.

There as so many to choose from but at the top of my list is Blade Runner, Main Title. Well just about all the instrumentals from the original movie.

Have to add that I just saw a film biography of Ennio Morricone so who can forget The Good the Bad and the Ugly?

Smokin' '50s style swing jazz...great for working on hot rods.

Disclaimer: I've only listened to the first cut, but if the rest is as good...

... the rest is just as good. Thank you for expanding my musical horizons, appreciation and enjoyment.

For a change of pace, the only time I tune into NPR is for 'Hearts Of Space'.   Right now Sunday night for 2 hours, almost always instrumental.

See, now stuff like this I LIKE! Just learned of this band today. In fact, this is the only song I've heard yet....... They're called Kokoroko........ This gets better each time you listen!

Philip Glass is a favorite of mine, as are numerous others mentioned previously.

"Pruit Igoe" by Philip Glass is a good listen

I find this kind of stuff to be highly conducive to working if I'm in the right frame of mind...just high energy, nice chord progressions, no head-banging, no lyrics that make you listen, and repetitive but not overly so...
