TransAmMike Posted December 14, 2022 Posted December 14, 2022 Didn't know if to put this in the wanted section on here. This air filter was used on the '70's Baldwin Motion Camaro. Anyone happen to know if there is an after market 1/25 scale replica or one in a kit? Orrrr, any suggestions how to replicate it.
Bainford Posted December 14, 2022 Posted December 14, 2022 There is also one in a 70s issue of the MPC '28 Ford Pickup. Don't know if it is still found in more recent releases.

Your idea of listing it in the Wanted section should give you the best results. The style of air cleaner you're looking for has been in several kits over time.
Keef Posted December 14, 2022 Posted December 14, 2022 (edited) Revell Baldwin Motion Chevelle has one if I’m not mistaken. *Edit* yep it has one Edited December 14, 2022 by Keef
OldNYJim Posted December 14, 2022 Posted December 14, 2022 I never tried it, but I'd look at a pair of earbuds for a perfect little piece of mesh to go on top of one of those pieces. A lot of them even have that nice dome shape already 1

Small squares of screen and even offered in a few different thicknesses. Got the idea from someone here on the forum and used it for grills as well. 1
NOBLNG Posted December 15, 2022 Posted December 15, 2022 I don’t know if you have a “smoke” shop near you, but they sell fine screens for those funny little pipes.? 1

I remodel houses, working on one right now, so I get them from old faucets. The newer faucets have plastic ones though.
blizzy63 Posted December 16, 2022 Posted December 16, 2022 (edited) The AMT ‘69 Ford Falcon Modified Stocker kit has this air cleaner (velocity horn) for its 351 Ford engine. Edited December 16, 2022 by blizzy63
