Chuck Kourouklis Posted February 1, 2023 Posted February 1, 2023 Goat & 'Stang sooner, Sod Buster later. 442, might just wait for the '66 to come back out - far better than the Lindberg '67.
Jim B Posted February 1, 2023 Posted February 1, 2023 Lots of die-cast again this month. Interested in the SM-62 Snark, though.
gasman Posted February 1, 2023 Posted February 1, 2023 CARAVAN! I would love too see that in 1:25, will be an expensive month for me, 1
Rob Hall Posted February 2, 2023 Posted February 2, 2023 So with the usual delays, the GTO and Mustang probably won’t be out until March or later..
carnut Posted February 2, 2023 Posted February 2, 2023 it looks like I may need to budget my $$ some this month. There are a few kits that look good to get.
PintoKING Posted February 2, 2023 Posted February 2, 2023 Did you notice on the MPC Sod-Buster Chevy pickup; the grille seem to be a separate part from the chrome tree.... Seems to me that there will be other years available. But what year exactly is that Sod-Buster? Oh, how much I'd like to get a square-body Chevy (or GMC) pickup with an 8-foot bed!
ChrisBcritter Posted February 2, 2023 Posted February 2, 2023 Whoopsie. At least they got it right on the other side:

The Plow Truck and Big Game kits are both regular cab long bed

No one has kitted a long bed square body 73-87 GM pickup. Morgan Auto Detail offers both a long bed in resin for the MPC Deserter as well as an excellent 77 Chevy pickup kit complete with side trim and bench seat, mastered by Tom Ellifrit (Repstock here on the forum). It has been mentioned here that Round2 plans to offer different versions of the Sod Buster (likely grille and bed difference) over time and we can hope that might include the opportunity to build it as a 2wd truck. 1

Daddyfink Posted February 2, 2023 Posted February 2, 2023 Was he saying "Lastly in Automotive" after every kit? LOL! 66 Mustang is a go for me! And a Sod Buster for sure
gasman Posted February 2, 2023 Posted February 2, 2023 Did they retool the interior for the Sod Buster, I don’t see separate seats in the parts diagram, would be awesome if they tooled up a 1 piece bench seat interior like the 78 Dodge 1

Those are (ex) Monogram 1/24 scale kits. Sodbuster is (ex) MPC kit in 1/25 Scale. The size difference may bother some builders, and not others. Edited February 2, 2023 by stavanzer
ncbuckeye67 Posted February 2, 2023 Posted February 2, 2023 Yeah, I'm aware of that. I didn't realize kitbashing was the intent. Was just suggesting current long bed kits still available.

ncbuckeye67 Posted February 2, 2023 Posted February 2, 2023 Definitely getting a couple Sodbuster kits. I love the detail of the Nova wagon "Craftsman Series" kit, even without an engine, it's a great kit (although it should be cheaper due to this).

He's gotten so much better with his videos, you can see his confidence go up more and more.
stavanzer Posted February 2, 2023 Posted February 2, 2023 Yeah, but if I hear "What's Cool About This" one more time, I'll give up. It is a verbal Crutch he uses, when He cannot think of something to say. It is comparable to "Like" (in Val-Speak) or "Uh" that all of us fall prey to, from time to time. I do wish though, that he would use a different script when he does his updates
