Just wrapped this one up.  I realize it's an old tool, and I bought a vintage issue of the kit, but what a learning experience.  I wanted an easy build for the shelf, but it fought me all the way.  It's not my best work, but I'm glad to have it done.

of course, once I finished it, I found this '62 hardtop loose in another kit.  I don't have the glass but I can scratch some up out of clear sheet.  I really like these cars with the hardtop on.187388123_IMG_97261.thumb.JPG.5713cfbb5c53ca56a9943972c74590e1.JPG

With patience and skill, old kit can build into very nice model as you demonstrated with this one. Although old, I'm glad we can still have these to build. Personally I like the ability to build models that I did when I was young. Great job on the vette

Great looking color combination and I like the '60's wheels. Clean building techniques like this offset the basic kits short comings.

Definately has that 70's cruiser look to it!.

Thanks!  That's exactly what I wanted.  I put 1970 tags on it.

I’m with you on that. I was surprised to see another Corvette with gold coves like the built up one I restified a few years ago.
Nice job JJ!

Thanks!  I like yours as well.  I painted the whole car gold before I painted the Tamiya Candy Lime because I wasn’t sure how well the green would cover.

60 Corvettes do look more cool with the hard top on, but they are way more fun to drive with the top off. Also the visibility is so much better, especially since most of these C1s only have a driver's side mirror. I know from experience because I presently own a real life 1960 which is winter hibernating in my garage during a Nova Scotia winter. I've owned it since 1983.

Nice work on the AMT C1. I have a couple of MPC 1960s to build as well as a few of those Revell multi body pieced 1960s and two 1962 AMTs to build.

Great thread.
