Nick s Posted March 28, 2023 Posted March 28, 2023 (edited) Calling this one done..........One mistake is the windshield frame. It was so warped that it was unusable. I should have glued it in place before painting the body. I was forced to think of other options but in the end the only thing I could think of was a frameless windshield. The second mistake is the painting flaw on the seat. I ended up covering it with the seatbelt. Great kit I will be building more of these kits. Edited March 28, 2023 by Nick s 7
espo Posted March 28, 2023 Posted March 28, 2023 Great looking build, and the seat belt idea makes a nice save. Like the deep channeled body look and the engine detailing. You had mentioned the windshield frame issue. Should it bother you, maybe a couple of thin U Channel plastic or brass that would slide on either side of the windshield. Some sort of chrome treatment would be a consideration. Either way it looks great as is.
SpikeSchumacher Posted March 28, 2023 Posted March 28, 2023 I think you recovered it nicely. Along with that David said, you might be able to salvage the uprights from the warped frame even you need to shorten them a little.
dragstk Posted March 28, 2023 Posted March 28, 2023 This is a really nice job. I really like the stance!

JollySipper Posted March 29, 2023 Posted March 29, 2023 I'm really digging on this! May I ask.... Did you Zee the frame yourself, or is it an aftermarket piece? Also, are you in NC? I've been to Hillsboro, did some paint work up there...
Flatout Posted March 30, 2023 Posted March 30, 2023 Great looking Hot Rod Nick…love the blue and white with black accents, nice color combo.?
