Two of the better kit sources are the "new tool" AMT Ala Kart and the last release of the AMT '36 Ford.

I don't have either kit here right now to check the diameters though.

I imagine you'll want 15", which I'm reasonably sure the '36 kit's are.

The chromed wheels that are in the last re-issue of the AMT '36 Ford (AMT-824) are a very nice looking set and are the same as the ones included in the AMT 'Custom Caps 'n Wheels' Parts Pack (AMT-PP021).

The reproduction original Ala Kart's/ Mod Rod's wheels are in there too.

Remember that reversed wheels usually have a deeper offset. The center is cut form a factory wheel, turned 180 degrees in the opening and welded back together. The result is a deeper wheel, but less offset/ back spacing. The track may be wider and the  brakes may be exposed a little mor as well.

Those wheels aren't from the Revell '55 Chevy.

Really? Oh they must have been from the parts bin and I confused them with revell 55 chevy wheels🫤. Even if there from the amt 57 chevy there good wheels.

Yes, they're very nice wheels I've used them myself and have some saved for future projects.

Is that your build on the '66 James?   So did your 1:1 have the 396?

Yes it is. That's the replica I built. Mine had the 396, Rochester 4 barrel with the Muncie 4 speed. If I remember correctly it had 375 HP.
