bluestringer
What kits have these, if any. I know Pegasus made a set, but they are hard to find now. I'm going to be building a replica of my first car, a 66 Impala SS 396. I installed chrome reverses on it just a couple of months after getting it. Rattlecan Dan
I have a 34 Ford pickup kit that has a set of chrome wheels. All 4 seem to have the front axle dust cover protrusion though. I suppose you could eliminate the rear two if you wanted to.
Ace-Garageguy
Two of the better kit sources are the "new tool" AMT Ala Kart and the last release of the AMT '36 Ford. I don't have either kit here right now to check the diameters though. I imagine you'll want 15", which I'm reasonably sure the '36 kit's are. Carmak
If you are looking for shallow chrome wheels the 62 AMT 62 Pontiac Custom has a very nice set of wheels along with some nice wide whites.

The chromed wheels that are in the last re-issue of the AMT '36 Ford (AMT-824) are a very nice looking set and are the same as the ones included in the AMT 'Custom Caps 'n Wheels' Parts Pack (AMT-PP021). The reproduction original Ala Kart's/ Mod Rod's wheels are in there too. Edited April 21 by blizzy63
bluestringer
Thanks all. I would like to have that AMT wheel pack, but it's discontinued and can't seem to find one. I actually have 2 from the 34 Ford pickup kit.
Calb56
https://www.modelroundup.com/Custom-Caps-Wheels-Parts-Pack-p/amt-r2-pp-021.htm Kinda spendy but they say they have it in stock.
blizzy63
...or pick up one of these (AMT-824) new or used, if cheap enough for you. (If used, make sure that it still contains those wheels.)
