Stevens19 Posted April 30, 2023 Posted April 30, 2023 I began envisioning this project 3 or 4 years ago with a little kart I found at the local thrift store, I was originally just going to build a cage off of the existing kart but eventually with the help of 3d printing I decided to go down a different route and build the whole thing in a 3d model program and then print it. I ran into a few snags along the way but overall it all went together fairly smooth. for more photos of the build here is a link to the WIP Outlaw Kart I ended up making a few of these, the first couple are replicas of karts that Kyle Larson ran during his Outlaw Kart Showcase. There are quite a few things that are not going to be 100% accurate, I did the best I could with the references I could find as well as my limitations with the 3d software. I hope you all enjoy these, I look forward to making a few more in the future. 2

1930fordpickup Posted May 8, 2023 Posted May 8, 2023 I am glad I found these, they look great. Now you just need to show off the fathers life savings and retirement fund in a racing trailer for the kids.
Bruce Scully Posted May 25, 2023 Posted May 25, 2023 Nice work on these . very clever , they look great .
Ed Haller Posted June 4, 2023 Posted June 4, 2023 How can we order some blank ones? I’d love to get some.
Stevens19 Posted June 23, 2023 Author Posted June 23, 2023 Thanks everyone! On 6/4/2023 at 12:34 PM, Ed Haller said: How can we order some blank ones? I’d love to get some. I've been working on that, the chassis is very delicate so I'm trying to figure out a way to ship them without it breaking. I have a little more time now that its summer to try to put some more thought into figuring all of it out.

Cults 3d or similar is a good place to sell, although there are plenty of options...

Since I still haven't had the time to figure out the shipping and everything I still would like to give people a chance to build it, so I have decided to place the 3d files on cults, can be found by searching Outlaw Kart. 1

I'm a bit late to the show, but aby information is greatly appreciated. Was this printed on a filament or resin printer? Any tips for printing the files to get the best results. I'm just learning this 3D printing thing. Appreciate it. -Aaron

I'm still very much figuring out what I'm doing with printing, and I'm not super great explaining what I do know, but printing at an angle with low layer height is ideal, I always use auto supports and add some in places that have given me problems, there seems to be a lot of trial and error with it, a good resource that I've found for learning are 3d printing facebook groups.
