My plans for this kit involve an unused brush fire truck bed from an old MPC Chevy C-10 kit.

That bed will look great on the new Ford!

It's funny how the fire truck bed looks nothing like the MPC tow truck bed   Humor aside I would love to see picks of the fire truck unique pieces like the hose real and the straight sections of fire hose.

Word of caution on the old MPC fire-tow truck beds, they are much too wide! The center section needs to be narrowed down before assembly.

I see Model Roundup has changed the expected delivery date to November.

Since I decided to save and OTB build the old MPC ‘72 lwb stepside kit I had originally planned to use for this camper, and since the test shots of the 4wd version of the new wrecker kit reveal all the 2wd suspension components and front wheels are included, I’m thinking the hopefully eventual release of a 2wd version of this kit would make a far better camper basis than any of the current and outdated 1/2 ton Round 2 Chevy offerings. If I’m patient, perhaps Moebius will also release a 2wd 1 ton version of their eagerly anticipated ‘67 thru ‘72 Chevy lineup.

Apologies for the necropost; finally placed my order for the wrecker from my LHS, and I'm planning on getting a snowplow parts pack from the 1970 snowplow kit here:

Supposedly in transit to the distributors, sellers hope to have them by the end of November.

Container is at the warehouse now, being unloaded as I type.  Tomorrow is Thanksgiving!  So hopefully starts shipping on Tuesday.

They are going to blow out fast. I will check eBay later. Nobody will be giving these away for a while. Maybe the dust will settle by the NNL East.

No doubt! This is a very highly anticipated kit. I’ll probably have to wait until my LHS has them in stocK.

I have heard that this shipment is sold out so if you haven't preordered one, they might be hard to come by. My guess is they will run some more before running the next version.

Modelroundup posted earlier today that their allotment of Wrecker Kits will ship out to them tomorrow and they hope to have them in their building in 7-10 days. Looks like they will be here in time for Christmas.
