Paul Payne Posted May 21, 2023 Posted May 21, 2023 Finally finished! The load is a big airplane engine on its way to be rebuilt. This was great fun to build- used both scratch built items as well as bits and pieces repurposed to create something new. 4
Butter 1 Posted May 21, 2023 Posted May 21, 2023 Nicely done. The wrinkled front fender is a nice touch.
espo Posted May 21, 2023 Posted May 21, 2023 Great watching all the fabrication on the bed and the rest of the cab & chassis.
Zippi Posted May 21, 2023 Posted May 21, 2023 (edited) The 37 tow truck turned out pretty nice there Paul. Just a Great build. Edited May 21, 2023 by Zippi
Nosferatu Posted May 22, 2023 Posted May 22, 2023 Excellent work on this! Love the gearing and the patina look! Dave
Paul Payne Posted May 22, 2023 Author Posted May 22, 2023 Thank you all for your interest and positive comments on this build! Definitely a change from trying to lay a shiny paint job! Betsy gave me an old set of pastel chalks years ago and they are perfect for weathering!
ncbuckeye67 Posted May 22, 2023 Posted May 22, 2023 The amount of detail you crammed into this is really amazing!
happy grumpy Posted May 25, 2023 Posted May 25, 2023 Very realistic weathering. I like it. Lots of details to look at.
bbowser Posted May 26, 2023 Posted May 26, 2023 Very well done! I'd be nervous about ropes holding that big hunk of cast iron!
Paul Payne Posted May 26, 2023 Author Posted May 26, 2023 Bruce, the ropes are just to hold the boards over the heads. Cables actually hold the ironmongery!
Rattlecan Dan Posted May 27, 2023 Posted May 27, 2023 Very realistic looking old war horse. Great job!
