Toyota V8 kit source?

Anything...production car, race car...what's out there?

(It's going in a 1/24 Prius)

I know its not a popular option (Shapeways that is), but Jeff at Kingtoys has one, though I don't see the water pump and drive accessories. You'd have to ask Jeff about those.
With economy manufacturing speed its $37.14. About the regular cost of a kit.

If I remember correctly, Tamiya's kit of the original Toyota Celsior/Lexus LS400 had complete engine detail.

It did.  Haven't seen one in a long time.

Thanks, gennelmen. Found one in the US, not anywhere near as spendy as most of 'em. He's on the way.

Thanks again.   :D

I don't know about Toyota V8's, but I know several people make the 2JZ Twin Turbo inline 6.

Thanks. I have a couple, but packaging an inline six longitudinally in a Prius won't work for what I want to do.

Sideways just ahead of the rear axle centerline is another story...  :D

Thank you sir. Noted.

I was able to find the old kit the other guys mentioned for right at twice that, shipped.

Looks like it's well detailed.

As I recall from the example I built some 30 years ago, it went together nicely:

Wouldn't have dreamt of this when I built the kit back in the '90s, but I now own a 1:1 '92 LS400 so I can see what it should look like (excuse the dust and grime):

The basics are there, but there's a lot less plumbing. You might be looking to replace the intake setup in any case?

Sounds like an amusing project anyway. I have a spare 1:24 engine and I'm looking to drop it into something else one day.
