Slotto
I picked this one up already built at a show last month. The body was painted a God-awful medium green. The interior was black with green stripes. When I saw the box, it brought me back to my teen years and I had to have it no matter what it looked like. It appeared to all be there so I went for it. The guy was asking 15 and I talked him down to 10. I took it home and began to put my stink on it. I stripped everything and began the transformation. The rims weren't too bad but I did replace the tires with the AMT aftermarket preprinted Firestones. I kept the interior color, just gave it a respray. I detailed the dash and door cards with the chrome pen. I foiled the window trim and side markers and detailed the grill and tail piece. I wired the engine and added a fuel line, carburetor linkage, return spring, throttle cable and heater hoses. Also detailed the master cylinder by adding a couple curlies. Sorry to disappoint Rusty, I didnt get to moving the rears. It really doesnt bother me that much. One day... I've always liked the way the 69 and 70 Coronet and the 67 Fury looks. They have that scowl that says "Get out of my way!". This was a fun rebuild. Thanks for looking.

ncbuckeye67
Beautiful restoration! I agree 100% about the looks of these cars. I rescued one myself that was brush painted. There's an unpainted one in my stash, and in spite of that, I still want to buy the newly reissued version.

Classicgas
Great idea. So they have to be turned separately, they're not tied together?
