No way man! Faith gets humanity in huge trouble (more ways than one). 

Metal foil which is incredibly thin, and retains its shape after forming is nothing like the fuzzy stuff you are using,  I have never seen BMF lift off any surface (including it's backing carrier) all by itself. Sure, BMF can be lifted off if someone applies force to it (like scratching it), but like I mentioned, I worry that your stuff will lift all by itself.  And trying to fix something on the car interior floor is not the easiest job.  Yes, in your example, black carpeting deep in the model's deep and dark foot wells will not be very visible (especially if the floor was painted black to begin with.

But I'm not trying to discourage you from using it - I just voiced my views on this method of model carpeting, and clearly also stated my reasons.  This is from my life's experience with pressure sensitive adhesive materials.  Others can make up their own mind.

It just seems like extra work to me.

I can carpet a floor in a matter of a few minutes with embossing powder.

Once you get the system down, it really is one of the absolute easiest operations in building a model car.

 

I think maybe I'll try to do a YouTube video on carpeting with embossing powder sometime.

It shouldn't take much more than 30 seconds to make.

Looks like he does it quite close to the way I do.

The adhesive is different, (which doesn't matter much) and he used the tea strainer, which I've never found to be any real advantage.

I still have to test it with CA glue might even test with epoxy. Do it right so nothing oozes out, and it’ll never lift lol. I just could never get the embossing powder to work, and always had clumps etc no matter how smooth I laid down the glue. I had about $30 in ranger embossing powder I threw away lol.

You’re right as that was money wasted. I did do the test with it using CA glue, and epoxy. The epoxy did nothing, as I could still pull it up if I wanted. The CA glue did better, but I could still pull it up with little force. I think best will be adding CA along the edges along with kicker so if it ever did come up down the road decades later it would be in the middle. Maybe even making the surface rough, and lay down CA nice n smooth, and then the carpet along with burnishing it down really good should do the job. As my test was done on a smooth surface, and gorilla glue might do better than the CA glue I’m using.

Well...I tried the Elmer's/Embossing Powder today and I'm sold!  A helluva lot cheaper than and less work than Flock-it with better results!

Here's my latest attempt with embossing powder

 

For various reasons, I wasn't particularly pleased with the color uniformity this time, but a quick coat of flat turquoise enamel remedied the situation.

Some nice carpet jobs guys! I have recently started this process myself, my concern was smoothness, so I opted out of Elmer's. I used an old can of enamel paint(yes, same / similar color). Taped off areas not to carpeted, and it looks very nice to me. I used embossing powder for these.
