Fantom
Started with Tamiya’s Beetle, a whole bunch of parts from Texas 3D, this where I’m at. Still need a little body work, but hope to have it in final primer this weekend. Engine is all but done. Still needs an interior and some chassis work but it’s getting there.

espo
Did the front body section with the front headlights come with your kit? I had a Baja Bug many years ago and would like to build a model of it. Mine also had this style of front end but the last time I checked no one was offereing this style and I don't want t to try and make one myself. Yep, Texas 3D makes 2 style of front ends , I bought the Baja kit , the engine, the wheels and tires and the seats all from him and the quality is absolutely top notch! Fantom
Got some color on it. White and orange are Tamiya sprays and the purple is Creatix. Edited July 16, 2023 by Fantom

Glassparman
Never heard of Texas 3D but I loved the look of your BF Goodrich KO2 which is what I have on my real Toyota FJ Cruiser. I'll be placing an order from them today. You BAJA is looking awesome! Can't wait to see the final result.

oldcarfan
This looks great! I wonder if this conversion requires the Tamiya Beetle or if the Revell or Polar LIghts kits work as well?

Wasn’t to difficult to adapt to the Tamiya kit.

I know that it works for the Revell that's what I scanned to make it and I know I've seen it used on a Tamiya, and if I recall correctly I think I saw someone do it to a hasegawa
