Lookin good Bob. I had similar issues with a 56 Nomad but got there in the end - just gotta keep at it. Patience, I think it is called.

Yes Sir.  I'm trying my best to keep after this one.  Looks like I may have some good weather next week to re-shoot the body.

Ok fellows, I had a small window this morning where the humidity dropped below 60% so I fired up the airbrush and got some paint on the 55 Nomad body.  I think it turned out really nice.  There is a little bit of trash in the paint but I'll wet sand that out before I shoot the clear on later this week.  This is the Testor's paint (Gloss Sunburst) in the small bottle mixed 50/50 with Mr. Color Leveling Thinner shoot at 35 psi.

Wow! That baby POPS. Really good job. Especially after all that work. I know you'll keep on it till it looks completely gorgeous. (USAF Veteran also) 65-69.

Thanks and thank you for your service.  Yup, once I get the Tamiya X-22 clear on it will get wet sanded and polished.

I was going to suggest that since it would be sort of an OEM touch, but figured you had your color idea already figured out.

I hear ya.  Since I've been having so much trouble with the paint and clear drying I've backed out of painting the top white.  I'm afraid of the tape leaving marks in the orange paint.  Don't want to go through stripping it again.
