atomicholiday Posted July 20, 2023 Posted July 20, 2023 Looks really good. ?I think I have that same kit. Any issues?
happy grumpy Posted July 20, 2023 Posted July 20, 2023 Great looking clean and green Pontiac. Looks great in the sunshine.
AMT68 Posted July 20, 2023 Posted July 20, 2023 Very nice build David. Paint and trim work neatly done. It's a good looking model overall. I was hesitant to pick this one up since I'd heard there were fitment issues.
ewetwo Posted July 20, 2023 Author Posted July 20, 2023 (edited) Thank you guys. Tom. I can't take credit for the paint and chrome because the kits come pre-decorated. Jeremy. The frame was warped do to age. But it went together well. Edited July 20, 2023 by ewetwo 1
THarrison351 Posted July 21, 2023 Posted July 21, 2023 OOH the green one! Turned out really nice! I have the maroon one with the silver dusting. I used it as the basis for my Joe Weatherly NASCAR #8 I just repainted the body and changed the interior to NASCAR specs. Left all the other painted parts as is. I really liked all the ProShop and CustomShop cars. I built a lot of them. Only missed a few.
slusher Posted July 21, 2023 Posted July 21, 2023 Looks great buddy! I built the burgundy one in 2000 and I have the green not yet built!
ewetwo Posted July 21, 2023 Author Posted July 21, 2023 Thank you guys. I have the burgundy one built also. And another in the stash. I night add the side pipes to this one. Haven't decided yet. I have the Riviera and the Mustang fast back with me also. Hopefully get around to doing them before we head back on the 29th.
espo Posted July 21, 2023 Posted July 21, 2023 Like the clean look of the body and paint. The chrome rims with wide whites were the style of the time.
karbuildr Posted July 21, 2023 Posted July 21, 2023 Oh I like this. I've built a couple of the pre-paints of this kit. It goes together well but I never did manage to get the green one. Yours looks great, very nicely done. Great photography too.
ncbuckeye67 Posted July 22, 2023 Posted July 22, 2023 Beautiful paint color, and a great looking build!
ewetwo Posted July 22, 2023 Author Posted July 22, 2023 Thank you guys. I have the side lake pipes but don't know if I want to put them on or not. Here's the maroon one I did. Put more stock tires and wheels on this one. 1
