Chuck Most Posted August 13, 2023 Posted August 13, 2023 Loosely based on a local bit of land. Main attractions are the AMT 1972 Chevrolet C10 and the body and interior from the AMT 1966 Chevrolet Nova Pro Street kit. Various shrubbery and whatnot came from Woodland Scenics, JTT Scenery Products, Bachmann, and Gamer Grass. This is also something of a practice run for a small rural salvage yard idea I've had in mind for a while. The mailbox was scratch built. Also never mind the fact that the Woodland Scenics flags are blowing into the wind, as indicated by the wind turbines in the background. ? 5
espo Posted August 13, 2023 Posted August 13, 2023 Beautiful looking diorama. Like the "land scaping" with the mower lines around the cars. The vegetation is all realistic looking.
NYLIBUD Posted August 15, 2023 Posted August 15, 2023 Wow,you did a great job.You know you could’ve used a weed wacker to get rid of that grass growing around the cars.?.And speaking of cars, they also look great.??
Chuck Most Posted August 15, 2023 Author Posted August 15, 2023 Though I included it in the post but here's the real life inspiration. I took a few liberties but this is where I got the idea... 2
Danno Posted August 16, 2023 Posted August 16, 2023 Didn't know if I liked it at first, but as time goes by, it grows on you! Good job!

Bills72sj Posted August 16, 2023 Posted August 16, 2023 Very creative idea that has been well executed.
Carmak Posted August 16, 2023 Posted August 16, 2023 We just got a parts car for our 60 Buick. We are going to load it with skeletons and put in the front yard for Halloween (we live in rural Iowa). More decoration than yard art. BTW - Before anyone asks - the parts car has a perfect crack free dash, It was parked in a timber when Nixon was president, so the dash never got any sunlight. 2
ncbuckeye67 Posted August 18, 2023 Posted August 18, 2023 Very nicely weathered, and packed full of detail!

Local radio station used to do something similar with an old Ford sedan delivery.
