Made a little more progress.  I am now using vinyl film for the white number circles after disasters with old decal circles and decal paper.

That's interesting, I've had similar issues twice. Does the vinyl just comes as a sheet and you cut circles in. Curious to learn more about this.

Yes, the vinyl comes in big sheets used by RC Airplane folks and has an adhesive backing.  I use a circle template to draw on the paper backing, cut it out, then peal the vinyl off and apply to the model.  It is pretty strong and will stretch to compound curves if needed.  You can find it with either a gloss or matte finish on Amazon.

Always interesting to follow your WIP's Gary - the GT40 roadster is a missing link in the plastic kit history which we will never see as a kit (not even a Fujimi curbside - sigh!)

Today's mock-up.  Windshield not attached yet.  There is a bit of a glimmer at the end of the tunnel.

Back on the bench again and plan to finish up the GT40 spyder this week.  This will be the last addition to my GT40 collection.

Aaahh. Back to the bench with this one. Lookin real good Gary. Might just be inspiration to dig mine out.  Re-reading this post brought some memories. I sure am glad that move is now, way in the past.

Well fewer parts left to attach.  The challenge will be attaching the body then adding the window surround.

Looks really good Gary, good move on the body sills. Gives it a much better appearance.
