randyc Posted September 12, 2023 Posted September 12, 2023 I finally got one of these recently. I love these revell hot rod kits. This, the roaster, and the 32s. I could probably just build those for the rest of my days and be fine. This is mine. Box stock except wheels and tires. The wheels have been in my stash forever. Not sure where they came from. The tires are PPP? Might be part of 2 sets? I'm still thinking about putting some Nerf bars on the sides and front like an old modified. I have some from the recent modified kits. Now I need one of these to build as a shiny car... 5

I have just recently been smitten with building some Hot Rods and these kits fit the bill. Very nicely done. Just like Lay's - you just can't eat ( build ) one. cheers, Graham 1
jdhog Posted September 12, 2023 Posted September 12, 2023 That's cool. I can see that pulling into a weekend show and shine. Love it. 1

The blue flame 32 is a Testors diecast kit Edited September 12, 2023 by randyc 1
Slotto Posted September 12, 2023 Posted September 12, 2023 Nice build. Where did you get the bomber seats?

The bomber seats are in the kit with skeleton door frames as well. Look up Tim Boyd's articles on this one. I need more of this kit for those seats. I can build the kit with the other finished interior. I have a stack of leftover frames from this and the 29 kit. 1
ea0863 Posted September 12, 2023 Posted September 12, 2023 I also like these kits, and love your rendition. The tires and rims definitely give your build a track-car look, so nerf bars seem like a natural. 1
happy grumpy Posted September 12, 2023 Posted September 12, 2023 Nicely done. I like the underside. 1
karbuildr Posted September 12, 2023 Posted September 12, 2023 Very cool hot rod, I like the modified look. 1
espo Posted September 12, 2023 Posted September 12, 2023 Great looking in flat black. That Buick engine would really make this thing get up and move. 1
THarrison351 Posted September 12, 2023 Posted September 12, 2023 Looks great Randy! Wheels come from the AMT '64 Ford Modified Stocker. 1
athlon Posted September 13, 2023 Posted September 13, 2023 Very nice those wheels and rims really make it stand out 1

I had a Falcon mod stocker, so that's probably where these came from. I used the body for a slot car. Thanks for the compliments, everyone

Rattlecan Dan Posted September 18, 2023 Posted September 18, 2023 Pretty potent, dark and sinister looking Hot Rod there. Nice job. 1
